Spiritgaze sat on top of a rock. His eyes closed as he felt the wind ruffling through his pelt. Today was a slightly cloudy day, though more windy than normal. It's just after sunhigh, and the wind is starting to blow in more clouds. With eyes still closed, he opened his mouth to taste the air. The taste of moisture hung heavily in the air.
'Seems like it's going to rain either in the evening or tonight. He thought, opening his eyes to a slit ,If it rains during the evening, then that'll be a perfect time for fishing. Spiritgaze has always noticed that the fish in the river literally leap out of the water in delight whenever it rains, especially when the sun starts to set. The silvery-white tom fully open his eyes and stared over the water from his rock.
The thing is; is that the rock sits in the middle of the wide, rapid Severed River. Many who has seen him have thought of him as crazy and insane. But Spiritgaze doesn't mind a bit. First of all, He's a Riverclan cat and can swim very well. Second, there is a quick way to get back to shore on the Riverclan's side, though it's not much safer. There's a loosely row of rocks that leads to shore. One just has to have good balance and know which rock to jump to next. Spiritgaze tends to take this route when he comes here mostly. And third, this is one of his favorite thinking spots. Besides the noise of the rushing water, this place is very peaceful and quiet. Not where most cats go out of their way to get to . Meaning less likely that'll he get interrupted, which he liked.
Spiritgaze leaned over and stared into the water at his own reflection. A ghostly image of a white, black-stripped cat with glowing yellow eyes stared right back at him. It was enough to make the hair on his neck stand up. No wonder why cats get startled by my appearance. Even my own reflection is giving me the shivers. He smiled at the thought.
Suddenly, a different kind of silver caught his eye. Immediately, he flash a paw in the water and in one, fluid motion, scoop the fish out of the river. The fish landed on the same rock as Spiritgaze. The silver tom quickly grabbed it by the tail and slammed it against the rock, ending its life quickly. He stared at the fish, thinking whether he should eat it or not.
'No, I'll give it to one of the Queens. I can always catch another one later.' He grabbed the fish and stuck it in a crack, so the current wouldn't wash it away. He'll have to remember to take it back with him when he leaves. Sitting back down, Spiritgaze moved his gaze over to the Thunderclan border.
'I wonder how our neighbors are doing this Greenleaf?'

xx. SILVERmoon xx. Silvermoon padded quietly through the underbrush to a place by the river. She feared water, quite greatly; but she enjoyed watching it weave and flow in a manor that cannot be controlled by ones paw. That's why she feared it so. Knowing that it could take her so swiftly and no cat could do anything to stop it. It cannot be grasped and shaped or molded to do your bidding. To her it was a horrifyingly unstoppable force that she would not tangle with unless she must. And so far she had not had to.
xx. She finally made her way to a clearing off of the side of the river. Not looking about she trotted up to the waters edge and peered in. She didn't mind being close to it as long as she need not enter it. I think I'll touch it, I haven't touch it in a long while... She thought. Extending out a paw she tapped the waters surface and jumped back fearfully with a frightened mreoww.
xx. Her piercing teal-blue orbs scanned the water's edges, her fear making her whole being quake. Why am I so scared? She hissed scornfully to herself. Why? I don't want to be scared! I'm am a Riverclan Warrior! I should not fear such a mundane force...
As she spoke these words a large rippling wave broke the surface and drenched her. She hissed fierily and rolled backwards, she made no effort to get up. She simply lay on her side, unmoving. I am a pitiful Riverclan Warrior... [/blockquote][/blockquote]

((Gah, I completely forgot about this, )) Spiritgaze had his eyes closed, as usual, as he listen to the roar of the current and the splash of the waves as they crashed against the rocks. Suddenly, a faint sound entered his ears, he didn't pay any mind to it at first. But as the sound whirled around in his head, it began to sound familiar, sort of like a cat. His eyes flew opened. Normally when he's in deep thought, most sounds won't get through to him, but this wasn't one of those times. His eyes gazed along the RiverClan side where he believed the sound came from. He then saw a blue-gray cat lying on the shore, he recognized her as Silvermoon. "Hello!" He shouted to the she-cat, even though he wasn't sure if she could hear him over the the roar of the river. The silver tabby tom felt like going over to her and giver some company, so he stood up and grabbed the fish with his mouth and padded over to the edge of the rock. There were about four rocks to leaped to in order to get to shore and all were slippery, but Spiritgaze has jumped on them a dozen times and was confident not to fall. He leapt the first two with ease, but as he landed on the next one, a wave came over the rock and slammed into him. He grasped onto the rock as hard as he could, but his hind-legs fell into the water. Still holding onto the fish, he scraped against the rock with his back legs, trying to find a foot-hold to climb onto. He finally was able to get a hold on the rock and climbed out of the water. He finally made it to shore without anymore trouble. He made his way along the edge of the water till he was close to Silvermoon. "Hello, Silvermoon" He mewed, slightly muffled by the fish he was carrying. He dipped his head in greeting to the blue-gray she-cat before sitting down next to her. He layed the silvery fish at his forepaws and asked, "So how are you doing?"

[[haha it's definitely alright, i just figured a reminder would work xD]]
xx. Silvermoon's ears pricked as she heard bits of splashing and such. Maybe it's a fish? She wondered, her silver tail-tip flicking with the thought of prey. She twisted her neck around, not wanting to give the effort of sitting up and her wide femme shaped head swiveled to see Spiritgaze struggling on the third rock to the shore. She yielded to stand and help him, a lot of times cats did not like to be helped until they were near death because they were a stubborn kind; and also her fear of water was slight, yet powerful and her standing near and worrying would do him no good.
xx. She lay her head back down, listening for further large splashes indicating he had fallen in and could not get out; she heard none. Her silvery ears flicked back at his approach, his soft pad steps stopped near her flanks. Hello Silvermoon. He mewed to her although it was a bit muffled, possibly because she could smell water spray and the strong scent of freshly killed fish. He must have caught prey while out upon the rock. She thought. How are you? He added with his mouthful of fish still intact. She sat abruptly, and touched noses with him; around his fish of course. I am good, trying to work on my imperfections. A grin split her muzzle as she said this.

Spiritgaze laid the fish down in front of his paws and began licking his paws, all the while listening to Silvermoon's reply. At first he did not understood what she meant, then he remembered that the blue-gray she-cat had a fear of water. 'Afraid of the water. I've never heard of such a thing in RiverClan' He thought, putting the paw he was cleaning down. He stared at the flowing river before him. Though it's understandable, it was hard for him to think that a cat would be terrified of the water, especially a RiverClan cat. Yet, he himself has a fear of drowning, but it's a natural fear.
"May I ask you something?" Spiritgaze ask, glancing over at Silvermoon, "Why are you scared of the water? Did something happen?" He then added; "You don't have to tell me, if you don't want to." Though the silver tabby tom was curious, he didn't want the she-cat to feel worse by bringing up bad memories. But it did pain him to have been in this Clan for a long time and to know all cats, yet not to know what was happening with his Clanmates when their not in his sight.

xx. she let a small smile touch her muzzle as she thought back to her kit-hood and all the good times she'd had then. there had never been a time when the river had wronged her or frightened her. its just she had dreams. she shuddered, her pelt of silver quivering slightly and her eyes closed in horrific memories.
>> the dens, the dens were flooding. and the water, the water was everywhere, the kits dead bodies floated past there small mewling mouths opened in terror of their fate. elders swimming; swimming until exhaustion took them under and still they came up again and again fighting the current. fighting death, but it was useless. eventually their age beaten bodies would have no more energy and their muscles would fail them. all of her clan... they were dying. they couldn't escape the flood. why was this happening? silvermoon opened her mouth to call out to her clan, her leader but no sound came out. her thoughts raced: -save them leader ! save the elders and the kits ! save the queens and the injured and sick ! save them all !- yet her leader did nothing, no one did anything. they just watched as their clan-mates floated by, death on their heals. -please help them starclan...- <<
xx. no nothing happened to me, she meowed softly; curling her tail around her dainty silver paws. i just had horrible nightmares of the clan dying of a flood when i was a kit. her eyes darkened and she looked up to spiritgaze. holding his gaze firmly in hers and daring him to look away. water cannot be shaped in your paws spiritgaze. she paused, her eyes smoldering with the knowledge of a thousand ancestors. its an uncontrollable force and it cannot be stopped.

Walking out from behind a nearby rock, Crimson chuckles with the most degrading tone "There is no force that cannot be stopped with more force.... your water can be stopped with walls. Those walls can be destroyed by ice and pressure.... That ice can be eliminated with heat, and that heat can be calmed with water!" By the time his rant was over, he had already reached Silvermoon. "Yet you cower at the sight of such a small force.. what a shame. You let your fears control you, what will you be in a brawl?" Circling around her, he turns around to face her directly, his eyelids permanently furrowed, crossing partially over his crimson eyes, creating a look of hatred on his face. "This kid is being nice, just because you're female... In reality, anyone hearing of your pitiful fears would think you're crazy.." Crimson then chuckles quietly once more as he flings Silvermoon out of his way, heading to a large tree.

Spiritgaze sat there, listening to Silvermoon's reply. Just nightmares, huh? The silver tom had somewhat of an understanding, but it wasn't a fear though, it was a dislike. After his brother drowned himself many moons ago, Spiritgaze couldn't even go near the water for at least a moon. When he finally did, he felt nothing but guilt and frustration at the river for taking his brother's life, and not being able to do anything about it. But after a while, those feelings started to ebbed away and were mostly replaced with an understanding and respect towards the river.
Then Silvermoon turned to face him and said a sentence that was most surprising. Which says a lot, for Spiritgaze. All he could do for the next few heartbeats was stare with his yellow eyes into the cascading, teal eyes of the blue-gray she-cat. The words hold much meaning, as if said by a cat with moons of experience. He thought, fascinated. "True, the water is a force that will push through rock and land and can take lives." He then glanced over at the water. "But what the water takes, can also give. Life, I mean. Instead of fighting it, if we flowed with it, then we could co-exist better." He turned his gaze back on Silvermoon and smiled, "Maybe one day you'll be able to flow the water, too."
Just then he saw a gray tom appeared from around a rock up ahead of them. Spiritgaze immediately flew up on his paws and face the intruder, hackles raised. He could from the stench that this tom wasn't a Clan cat of any sort. Either this Rouge was daring in entering RiverClan territory, or he just didn't care The tom came closer, ranting on about forces being stopped. He then went on to mewl how pathetic his Clanmate was. That really ticked him off. "You don't know anything about her!" Spiritgaze snarled, She is one of the best warriors in the Clan! Besides, we all have fears of our own." He added in a fierce, yet a matter-of-fact tone.
Suddenly, the intruder lunged at Silvermoon. The attack was so surprising that the silver tom didn't have time to react. "Silvermoon!" He shouted. How could I have not seen that coming? I must be getting slower than I thought. The Rouge was padding away toward a nearby tree, acting as if nothing happened. Spiritgaze leapt after the tom. He wasn't getting to let him harm one of his Clanmates and get away with it! He stood in front of the gray cat, trying to block his escape.
"Who are you and why do you dare to trespass in our territory?" Anger boiled in him, but he fought to keep calm. After a closer look, he could tell the Rouge had many moons moons of fighting, and possibly killing, other cats. Despite his frail-looking appearance, Spiritgaze knew that he shouldn't underestimate this cat. I need to come up with a plan, fast. He wasn't going let this cat deeper into his territory if he could help it. He hoped that Silvermoon was alright, just in case.

Irritated by Spiritgazes defensive rant, Crimson rolls his eyes, letting yet another chuckle escape his mouth. "To tell me that this little coward is one of your best, and still hold your head high? Your clan must be pathetic. My name is Crimson, and I haven't a single fear that any of you could comprehend. As to why I'm here... I just felt like stopping by. Is that such a crime in these lands?" A vividly colored blood would drip from his teeth as he spoke. "Now, could you do me a favor, young one, and get out of my way? I have bigger problems to take care of, and I'm afraid that I have no time to waste on you." Remaining still throughout the entire confrontation, Crimson finally puts one paw forward. "I don't want to force you." Stepping closer, with every few words, he finally inches close enough for the young Spiritgaze to feel the heat given off of his rancid breath. "If I have to, I will."

Spiritgaze's glowing yellow eyes became slits as he took a step forward, hissing; "You are trespassing on RiverClan territory. Those who are not of RiverClan or don't have a good reason for coming here are not welcome. That is why." He noticed the blood drip from Crimson's teeth. This shocked the white-and-black tom. Never before had he seen a cat with a blood-stained mouth. This cat definitely killed many cats. He thought, looking carefully at the gray tom. This won't be easy. Even though Spiritgaze was a great fighter and had training. A rouge with moons of experience could overtake even a senior warrior, especially when their alone. Unless Silvermoon could aid him, he was alone.
He saw Crimson move a paw forward. Spiritgaze crouched down, the fur on his back standing higher, and snarled. "I will not allow you to go any further!" It was obvious that the rouge was not leaving without a fight. He has no choice but to battle this tom by himself for the time being. His mind began whirling through fighting ideas and within a heartbeat, he had one part planned. Now to make his move.
He sprang at the tom, but instead of attacking headfirst, he did something different. He moved quickly around to Crimson's side, without having his eyes laving the rouge. He then turn and latched out a foreleg, claws extended, intending to swipe his claws against Crimson's side, hoping to at least catch him unbalanced.

"You shouldnt talk big until youve won, runt!" Quickly dashing straight ahead as Spiritgaze lunges forwards, he catches his claws on the tree and dashes to the lower branches of the tree, only to spring out of the tree, and down towards Silvermoon.
Her blood still dripping from his mouth from their first encounter, he dashes closer to her and pounces at her, his claws jabbing into her side after contact. He flings his own body to the side to rotate the two of them to face Spiritgaze. "All I want is a meal. I don't wish to fight those that may be of use to me later."

The pale ginger she-cat had been out hunting for Shimmerwish. Taking it one pawstep at a time through the forest near the river. Her ears went straight up though at the sound of loud voices, and fighting. " What in Starclan?she muttered taking off in a sprint towards the source of the ruckus. The first thing she saw was Silvermoon and Spiritgaze. The next thing she knew, a strange tom came flying out of a tree and at Silvermoon. A smart apprentice would go running back to camp for help.. but not Spottedpaw. Not that she was stupid.. she just sometimes made stupid choices. Like now, when she chose to lunge at the loner tom, having no idea how well his fighting experience matched up to what little she had. But there was only one thing on her ind right now, protecting her clan mates.. she just probably could've gone about it a better way. " Get off of her mouse-brain!

Dragging silvermoons body, Crimson takes a step too far and wets his feet in the river, slipping and anchoring himself down using silvermoon. "Oops......... I guess Ive slipped up. Not that it matters. By now, all of my former clan will have tracked me here.... but what they find here will not be me. Oh no, it will be YOU. Push the silver cat into the water, and I will call them away from here... push me off alone, and I can promise you what follows will not be fun." His body flapping along with the current, he sinks his claws deeper into silvermoon.

xx. her mind tortured from telling her story her emotional status was not the greatest and she allowed herself to be battered about by this rouge, wanting to die for the words he'd said. she was useless; a riverclan warrior who feared the water. a slow hiss slid between her teeth as he drug her backwards near the water and she struggled to get up. to no avail, she writhed her silver body back and forth. my beauty does me no good here and that was all i had. her thoughts raced as she felt cold rushing water seep into her back fur and a panic rose in her throat. she writhed harder, kicked her legs about as the rouge tom threatened spiritgaze and spottedpaw with throwing her in. a sudden calm enveloped her. i don't fear water, she mused. i fear death. a realization echoed against her broad feline skull and she turned herself slashing the rouge's face and managing to get a paw hold on the ground. she turned and hauled him upwards a bit out of the water. your a filthy disgusting rouge, get off of my territory of i'll kill you. she held him up with one paw, if she let go he would fall. i don't think you, even being a stupid imbecile wants to die do you?

He is quicker than I thought Was his thought as Crimson dashed away form his claws. He watched the tom through narrow eyes as the rouge headed up a tree. Spiritgaze bolted to the tree, but before he reached, Crimson shot out of its branches and landed near Silvermoon and sank his close in her pelt. The silver tom turned around and faced the tom, panting hard. This was a situation he had never encountered before. His gaze kept darting between Silvermoon and Crimson, while a dozen or so different scenarios ran through his head. I need to come up with something, before it's too late.
Suddenly, another cat erupted from the bushes. It was Spottedpaw, one of the oldest apprentices. Spiritgaze watch in horror as she continued to race at Crimson. "Spottedpaw! Stop!" He shouted, leaping at the young she-cat to stop her. He stood in her path and tackled her. "This tom is much more of a challenge than you think." He scolded her. He lifted his gaze back to where he was and saw in sheer horror that the rouge had carried Silvermoon into the river. He listened carefully to what the gray tom had to say. Former Clan? This tom was originally a clan cat? Spiritgaze found it hard to believe that, but it wouldn't be the first time a cat was banish from a Clan. His own Clan had done so recently. If this cat claimed to have been in a Clan and yowl to summon them, then that meant ThunderClan. But there was a flaw in his plan. First of all, a warrior being banish or even just left, meant that the Clan wouldn't care. Second; The river Crimson was standing in was part of RiverClan territory. So ThunderClan would have to cross the border to aid him. And third; The river farther out was treacherous. ThunderClanners would have to be really good swimmers to cross it.
Then he had an idea.
Slightly leaning down, but still having his gaze on the rouge, he nudged Spottedpaw, trying to get her attention. "I want you to try to distract him. He whispered, too quiet fro Crimson to hear. "Move around to the other side of him and taunt him, run around, ask questions, whatever. But don't get too close. I don't want him to drown Silvermoon. I'm going to try to sneak up on him and pry him off of her." He hoped that the apprentice had heard, and even more so do what he says.
Just then, he saw Silvermoon leap out of the water. Knocking Crimson off. "Okay, change of plans." He quickly mewed at Spottedpaw. "Go in the water and try to leap on his back. I'll come from the side and aid Silvermoon."
