My stupid school cut creative writing, which was a really cool class I was going to have next year. I hate writing formal stuff, and 'for a topic' because I do bad keeping to that topic. I like writing my own way, with my own creativity, which is what creative writing is for. They cut the positions though, because of the stupid budget cuts, and now I have to go to the dumb office to change my schedule.
I'll probably take speech [not the one where they teach you words and stuff -_-], where I can write long speeches and share them in front of a class. But then again they probably cut that too. So this is just a random complaint because I'm sick of all the good classes being cut instead of shitty classes that no one needs.
Anyone else have this problem?

There's lots of budget cuts in my school district, too. -glares at fail Michigan economy- No classes have been cut yet that I know of. But they're cutting everything else off first in order to avoid that. Like, they had everybody sign up in order to ride busses next year -- and if you didn't get the form in, you don't get to use bussing anymore come September.
But while the do that, they completely re-landscaped the junior high, making new roads/lanes down there and going what seems to me to be over-the-top in terms of modeling to "make everything look nice". Don't you love how we distribute our money? I get that certain amounts of cash go into certain departments and then can't be transferred, but... You'd think they'd find a way, or something. o-o; [/blockquote]

Your from Michigan, too!? 0.0 *raises hand* I'm from there as well.
Yeah, even though I no longer go to school in my town(and haven't gone since I was 12). I know they cut all the extra circular classes. Such as Choir, Music, Art, Drama, all of the written stuff, etc. The only thing that's left is football and some other gym stuff. Then again the schoosl weren't that good anyway XP. A lot of the citizens are complaining because of that, and also of alot of other town cuts they made.
At least they updated your school. They haven't updated our middle and elementary schools since, like the 70s. The elementary school doesn't have air conditioning, and the middle school is literally falling apart. The only new thing was that they built a new high school when I was 6, that's it.
This is a little off topic, but most of the towns around my area and other counties are planning on ripping up the concrete and asphalt roads and just having them be dirt. Talk about having no money. -_-

Bleh. Im from New jerseyy.
Well my highschool has like, over 1000 students. And our budget passed, but they had to cut only golf and some of the funding towards football (And hell, like I give a shit about the football players.) Luckily, I'd like to say that my school is full of preppy teenagers as myself who do fundraisers 24/7. So I guess you could say we're good for now.
And as far as additions, they buy new equipment and fix the school as needed. But I'd like to inform you of the cool part of my school. The student who do art for 3-4 years get to paint a giant mural on our walls, like you get to paint anything anywhere in the school. And also you can make a ceiling tile. I'm working on my ceiling tile because i'm a junior, and I'll do my mural next year.
