you were born to be my baby.b o n . j o v i xx. moons had passed by since i had seen my mother. i didn't know how many moons have passed; but i knew that it had been too many. i wish i could remember what life was like before i had been taken away to this place. she had been taken home by a kitty-pet that had wandered too far from home; and now she was a kitty-pet. but under her soft; fluffy pelt, she knew she was something more. a buzzing sensation in the back of her cranium made chills run down her spine. her claws sank into the grass of her lawn. she had the wild in her eyes of a feral cat, but she had been domesticated. her small green color was around her neck; and it was obvious that it annoyed her. hazel paused several times to claw at the thing; only to be chastised by her two-leg and they turned and went outside; leaving her alone.
xx. the small white femme's coat glistened like new fallen snow as she let her body slide into a sitting position. she flicked her ear and gazed at the green grass below her. something inside her itched to be out of this two-leg garden; and away from this place. she had attempted many times to run away and had never succeeded being too small to scale the gate. with a small sigh, she sat alone. why am i here? where are my brothers?
she said with a faint cry.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

((if it is not too late, i would like to fill the open-ness of this thread)) small muscles bunched under soft, delicate black and white fur. momentum gathered for a moment before action. she felt her paws fly up the plane surface and then land a precisioned perch at the peak of the fence. she felt the rough texture of an upwalker's press against the soft pads of her feet. her ascent down was less graceful. with a wave of her tail she lost balanced and fell down the other side.
the kittypet laughed at herself lightheartedly. it was hard to believe her paws had ever been rough, or her limbs ever quick. she gave a lick to her fur and looked around this upwalker's space. young blue-green eyes flitted around, glowing with curiosity. a nice scent wafted from some violet flowers. delicate butterflies danced in the grass. the simple delights of this life were enough to dull her senses as she dashed after a bug, and rubbed on a tree. her eyes closed for a moment in bliss. when she opened them again she was suddenly aware of another cat, one who kept sighing as if the weight of the world were on her shoulders.
annabel walked over to the other cat. cats here didn't seem to have boundaries like they did in the forest or in the dark part of the twolegplace. she looked at the white female for a moment, not catching her eye. "hi. lovely day isn't it?"

xx. she watched the happy kitty-pet and her nose twitched in annoyance. stupid cat. can't walk on the edge of the fence. she thought bitterly to herself. she remembered her mother looking at her with disgust as she jumped onto the fence. she was still a kitten; and was still rather unbalanced; but she didn't fall. she was made for this. her mother had been sure of it. she was going to be great and she would be the one to take out her mother if it was the last thing she did.
xx. she flicked her ears as annabel spoke to her. she wasn't too excited about being spoken to let alone acknowledged by a cat who she didn't know nor did she want to know. yeah, sure, whatever. she said with a shrug as she continued walking herself along the top of the fence. with a small sigh she closed her eyes and continued walking; stepping perfectly along the fence.

annabel tipped her head, as if trying to perceive this other female's annoyance. her eyes flickered back and forth inside their sockets, and then she shrugged. her nose twitched. probably just another typical housecat, grown accustomed to warmth and food from birth. it must be a pretty nice life, to never have to worry that much. a smile returned to her muzzle, those eyes revealed a flash of memory in annabel's light head.
she started to walk on, carelessly. but then she stopped, as if she was distracted. as if she had nothing else to do. which was probably accurate. she erased her movement and walked back to where she had originally stood. her head tilted up and she looked at the much younger she-cat atop the fence, "soooooo.........", she said, dragging the word out across the silence, letting the soft 'ohhhh' sound roll over her tongue. small talk. "what is your name?" she sounded bored, yet interested. yes, it was quite a lovely day.

xx. a silent longing for freedom racked like claws along her spine; giving her chills every time she looked at the far off forest. her mind lulled from curiosity as she walked with her small pink pads walking perfectly along the fence. her snow white pelt glistened as her hazel eyes flickered across the ground toward the cat again. it had started to walk away but then returned. and now it was asking her a question. hazel shrugged her shoulders. it wouldn't kill her to be friendly; would it?
xx. she sat on the fence; letting her tail lay parallel with the fence and it flicked gently where she sat. my two-legs call me mia; but my name is hazel.
she answered as she flicked her tail and looked around. what's your name? she asked; her little claws digging into the fence as her balance swayed and recovered.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

annabel flicked her tail back and fourth, a couple of blades of grass were disturbed by her movement. she stared up the fence, her blue green eyes following Mia's, bluntly trying to make eye contact. "cool", she murmured, shaking her head and looking back to what was on her eye level. then she leapt atop the fence, trying to be careful and graceful. it shook her as her weight made contact. once there, beside the other housecat, annabel dug her claws into the wood surface. now they were at the same level. she put on a small confident act and scaled a couple steps of the fence. "hi mia! my names brightpaw", she said with a grin, testing the words like she tested the fence she walked upon. it was only half a lie, but who had to know that? "i'm on a mission!", she humored herself as her mind tilted back to older times. she was, of course joking. her form was much to soft to be anything more than a housecat. her fur was silky and she loved having food and warmth and comfort. she was too old to still have that name anyways. but maybe the housecat was naive. but she seemed different than that. special, maybe.
