DUSK'S STORY
From beginning to efinity
xx[C.]HAPTER.uno.
It all started that day. January 30th, 2007.
It was a memorable day. The day my mother died. The sun shone bright that day, but dark clouds interweaved with the light and stormed their anger on me. My brother held my hand as we stood and watched as men carried my mother away on a stretcher. He looked down at me. My father had left, and my sister died in a plane crash 6 years ago. When we moved to America, she turned around and went right back to live with my aunty. The plane went down mid way between Romania and Africa. No one survived.
My father married my mother in mid summer and she gave birth to Vincent a month later. Twelve years of marriage later my sister and I were born. Not identical, but we were twins. A year later, my father left. When I turned six years old, my mother, older brother, and sister all moved to America so we could meet our father. I didn't want to meet him, but we did anyway.
Now this day, my mother died. We're suspose to go move with my father, but my brother was just getting ready to move. He patted my shoulder and kneeled down.
"I'm not going to let you live with dad. You're going to come and live with me." I nodded.
Now, we seem normal, other then the deaths. No, that couldn't be further from the truth. During one of his collage classes, Vincent went on a trip to France. He came back with a nasty bite on his neck. After a couple tests, we found he was cursed with the vampire desease. He had learned to live with it though. It charmed a lot of girls, surprizingly. His current girlfriend is the first not to act like he's a monster. She treats him well.
Vincent walked with me to his car. I knew if he were to raise me for the rest of my life, there would be some legal things. But I didn't care. As we drove, we got farther and farther from my mother, and from my father. My head stopped aching. I liked being with my brother. He was a true father.
The car pulled into his new driveway. His girlfriend's van was in the driveway already, and she was unloading some moving packages. Vincent was smiling.
"Want to help me unload some luggage?" He asked me, motioning to the boxes in the back of the car and trunk. I nodded, and began to unload. I'd go back to the old house to get my stuff, and whatever stuff mother left Vincent and I.
~~~~~
After we finished unloading the cars, Vincent's girlfriend made us all some lemonaid and we sat down together to watch TV. It was nice. But I couldn't stay still. Something was urging me outside.
"Uh, I'm going to go outside and explore." Vincent nodded, smiling at me.
I wandered outside and found myself in a parade of some sort. People were smiling, and chanting in joy. I followed them though, into a door floating in the middle of the street.
I blacked out.
