OCC;; This thread is a simple clan session. This is not a meeting, but all Shadowclan cats must post to prove you are active. One post is not good enough. You must have at least FIVE POSTS with EACH CHARACTER or your character will be considered inactive.
IC;;
xx. the single-eyed tuxedo flexed her claws as she stood alone in the center of the clearing. her emerald eye twinkled as she flicked her tail back and forth as a lonely feeling washed over her. without patchfur with her... she was lonely. very lonely. not even the kits could help her overcome her loneliness. with a brief sigh; she looked around for them. then she remembered they were out playing with the other kits in the clan... she couldn't blame them. she wasn't the most fun to be around. that was the only way to describe why the kits didn't want anything to do with her. with a small sigh; flutterstar laid down and placed her head on her paws. she was so lonely and she didn't know why. with a small sigh she looked around the camp. it was so lively. but here she was, dying in her own silent world. she should have chosen someone she could have been with for the rest of her life... but now she couldn't and she probably never would be able to.
you'll always be a part of me.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,400,true] | [atrb=background,http://i50.tinypic.com/vzwv0l.jpg] A set of eyes borrowed a hole into the form of the despondent Leader. They did not stray, nor did they seem particularly interested in anything that the she-cat was doing, they merely rested on her. Waited on her next move that never came and growing less and less discreet about their hovering as time dragged on with no changes in the cat’s demeanor or manner of existence. Alone beside the gnarled bramble-strewn entrance to the Apprentice’s den sat Willowpaw, crouched by the entanglement with both her green and brown eye holding onto the contour of Flutterstar.
She had been doing so ever since she had emerged from the den, awakening to find the cat whom she was forced to trust and wanted to loathe, mope around Camp. It was becoming very irritating. The thickly furred Apprentice negligently ran her tongue over her lips before she proceeded to lave at her forepaw, using the dirt-crusted digit as a diversion from her less than pleasant thoughts. Even while doing so Willowpaw’s eyes always strayed upward, locking themselves onto the feline twelve foxlengths away and withholding an admonishing glare.
She couldn’t quite care why Flutterstar was so depressed, honestly it wasn’t relevant to her personal needs so why should she consider it? What needed to happen was her reassignment, she wasn’t getting any younger and she was without a Mentor. Willowpaw’s mentor was dead, claimed by Whitecough. Since then she’d been jostled between Warriors with no obvious intent to stick to one thanks to Flutterstar.
Willowpaw grunted, lowering her thoroughly cleaned pad and pausing to assess the occupants of the Camp. Familiar faces streamed by, scents and the like offered themselves to her senses and she recognized each individual by the minutest details but they were not at all fascinating to her. No, her fixation was all for the mournful Leader who hadn’t the willpower to do what StarClan had chosen her to do: Lead.

Less we all be Forgotten, our Kit might never make it.... __________________________________
The little bundle of black and white fluff lay still and silent all curled up in his nest. He usually slept away from his siblings, since he didn`t like enclosed spaces this was a good thing for him. Since arriving here he had learned alot, partially because he was always listening and waiting to hear more. Knowledge was power to him, the more he knew the better. Forgottenkit had a goal in life now, he had a purpose. He wanted to stay here in Shadowclan, and gain respect among there ranks. If he could make it as a clan cat, then perhaps he wouldn`t seem like such a lost soul anymore.
Strength to him was important, and the cat that had protected him, and provided him with a home was the one he repsected. Flutterstar was one of the few cats in the clan he cared to know. It wasn`t like the others were jumping for joy whenever he walked by. It was not like any of them took interest in him. He would show them all one day, they would have to look to him. Forgottenkit`s ear twitched as he picked his head up from the nest. A stray feather fell off of his pelt and back into his tiny nest. Yawning he stood up and stretched, taking the time to make sure his paws were all clean. His shadowy grey eyes glinted with determination and excitement at what the day might hold.
Technically he wasn`t supposed to leave the camp since Flutterstar had said so, but that didn`t mean he wasn`t allowed to leave the nursery. The bright sun hurt his eyes at first, and he had to stop and blink the sleep from them before he could clearly see what was going on in the camp. The first cat he saw was Flutterestar, but she seemed diffrent. He didn`t like seeing her so down, but he definatly didn`t want to bother her. Yet he also wasnted to comfort her and try to help. He started to walk towards her before he swerved and walked towards Willowpaw to ask her if she knew why. Then he argued with himself again about whom to speak with, and he sat down with a pout on his face. I don`t want to cause any problems... Maybe I should just ask her. Since she saved us, she won`t have any reason to hate us... right?
Gathering both his thought and his courage Forgottenkit made his way over to Flutterstar. His white paws tread carefully on the ground, because he didn`t want to have to bathe straight away after he had just woken up. He looked at her and flicked his tail, as he sat down near her. His tiny voice piped up as he tried to sound curious and concerned. "Hello Flutterstar. Are you ok, you look unhappy." He was genuinlly worried that she was hurt or mad at him in some way.
Just keep on fighting the pull of the webs, Push on through until they part for you Use the River to wash it away, Else barricade yourself with stones in dismay

xx. she felt the unwanted eyes of a cat in the clan. she knew that cats were watching her every move now; waiting for her to screw up. she scanned the clearing and when she saw it was a mere apprentice judging her; her single emerald green eye flared. her feelings subsided into an anger and a warning to the apprentice as her tail lashed back and forth and a faint growl rose from her throat. she didn't care if the apprentice answered her challenge; she would rip the thing to shreds. her long claws dug into the ground as aggravation sunk into her body. her lip twitched as she thought of redbird and just when she thought she couldn't be any more upset; she snapped. nearly completely ignoring forgottenkit as he sat near her; she stepped toward the apprentice. her emerald eye was respectful nor caring. it wasn't kind nor compassionate. the only thing that reflected in it was the anger and annoyance that willowpaw shared freely. if you have an issue take it up with me to my face instead of sending glares across the campsite.
[/color] her voice laced with venom and her posture curled and coiled like a snake; ready to strike. you keep runnin' in circles day by day. lost in the loop of how the music plays. but little do you know that whatever you do. there is always someone there just watching you. -------------------------- stop playing the game that everyone is playing and moving the moves that everyone is making. start marking your path with the steps that you choose and be prepared cause then you can't lose. -------------------------- a heartless game to just keep playing a colder stare that you just keep taking. no matter how hard you try or how fast you run you can't make it cause i'm number one. [/color] xx. the tuxedo female watched her with the only cold eye that was left. her once white teeth were now stained a yellow from the blood that had been poured out over them from wounds, scraps, and fights. she had yet to lose her life for the murders she had commited. and now she was daring the apprentice to take her challenge. she could go eight times longer that the apprentice could and nothing would change that. this apprentice had been unable to keep a mentor for longer than a few weeks because she had the inability to listen and lacked the knowledge to learn. if you want a mentor; i suggest you show me you deserve one and keep the one i give you instead of wearing out your welcome here.[/color] she dared the apprentice to protest to that; and knew the witty thing would. but this would just peak her amusement as the apprentice snarled and snapped back at her. and now she would wait.[/blockquote][/blockquote] xx. the kit made her way over forgottenkit. she liked him... she didn't know why; but something drew her to him. maybe it was that she knew that they weren't siblings as their mother had always told them. or maybe it was that it was just the way that he was a loner. she wanted to know what it really was... but something told her that she probably wouldn't find out for awhile. stainedkit sat by forgottenkit as she batted at his tail playfully. he was only a moon or two older than her so he hopefully still new what it was to play. but she stopped; as a buzzing feeling in the back of her skull took over her attention. the mute kit stared at the ground in front of her and the only thing she could piece together was the fallen warrior that had once been her father. she was staring at the ground as if the creature was really there and she couldn't figure out quite why it was there. but she became frightened by the image. the metallic smell of blood flooded through her senses as she sat there innocently watching the image play out before her. a muted gasp made the kit look more like it was having trouble breathing. but in truth she knew what had happened. my mother killed my father.

Oops, she’d been spotted.
Willowpaw met the single surviving eye that Flutterstar still had, by some odd miracle. There wasn’t a shred of subtly spared as the Apprentice counter-examined the Leader who, in turn, was assessing her in the same regard. She could feel the tension, the agitated energy that they traded through their eyes was a tangible current of mutual disdain for their fellow cat and it thrummed around them as they sat in their respective seats. Waiting, that seemed to be the game here. Who would become the intolerant one of them and finally confront the other on the issues at hand? Whose patience would break first and who would resort to public violence? ‘That would be you of course.’ Willowpaw predicted and several seconds later she was watching as the she-cat stormed toward her.
The anger and malcontent was everywhere, it just wasn’t possible to ignore as the older cat closed in on the Apprentice who gradually had to turn her head upward to meet her eyes. Behind them, mirth, laughter danced in her mismatched gaze at the knowledge that Flutterstar was so easily manipulated if the stare of an Apprentice could irritate her so. She really had no verbal defense to use, allowing a little Apprentice to twist her whiskers. Disgraceful really, how had StarClan thought this was the cat for ShadowClan?
Forgottenkit had been moving toward the Leader and narrowly missed being struck as the cat reached Willowpaw and began her verbal assault. Willowpaw plastered a complacent expression upon his auburn-tinged features, eyes wide with a mixture of curiosity and bemusement. “I don’t believe I have an issue Fluuterstar, I was just watching you.” She meowed passively, tail curling around her hackles as she reset herself to jump away if the she-cat decided she’d rather knock her around a few times. Willowpaw was a great many things, but stupid was not one of them. She was well aware of the massive rift between them, acknowledged that if she were to seriously go against Flutterstar as she was her end would be the only thing achieved. She could wait, she would have to.
“Then give me one that has more than half a brain.” She responded casually, swinging her face away but keeping one eye on the large she-cat. “I don’t know how to prove to you I deserve a mentor, I don’t read minds.”

xx. the tuxedo femme stood before the apprentice with her single eye glistening with her emotions of annoyance. she had been on a short fuse the last few days after discovering her kits were more like herself and redbird than ever hoped. she had not been ready to see that let alone let it happen. no need to watch a cat when you have your own business to attend to in camp now is there?
[/color] she retorted as her white claws dug into the ground and tore at the vegetation beneath her paws. her long tail flicked back and forth as she watched the apprentice. stupid apprentice. no respect for anyone but herself. her whiskers twitched and her eye slitted into a small almond sized orb. xx. she wanted this apprentice to know what she had done wrong before she would receive her mentor. and if she could not keep this mentor than she wouldn't be a warrior. that was the way this last time would work. show your mentor some respect and they'll try to be your mentor.[/color] she said as she sat before the apprentice with her tail curled around her paws. if you want a mentor you need to show my you are trying to learn rather than trying to fight them for helping you.[/color] she stopped and smirked. until you show me that; i will take up mentoring you.[/color] xx. flutterstar's emerald bore into that of the other she-cats. her tail was flicking back and forth and her nose twitched as she flicked her whiskers. her perfect rounded triangle ears tilted forward as she watched the apprentice. she was tired of seeing mentor after mentor being forced to quit because an apprentice couldn't show them the respect they deserved. i'll teach her some respect; even if i have to beat it into her. she turned away from the apprentice; sick of its behavior. i will be expecting you at sun high tomorrow. if you are late or do not show up; you won't have another chance.[/color] she approached her kits again; attempting to push her thoughts behind her.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Forgottenkit had to practically skid to a complete hault, and high tail it in reverse to avoide Flutterstar as she totally ignored him and went right after Willowpaw. His eyes were huge saucers, and his fur instantly went from short nicely laid out fur, to a huge jumbled mass of bristled poofy fur. He reseambled a porcupine, and he was very hesitant to more from his terrified standing position. He certainatly never want to so anything to cause her to yell at him like that ever. Willowpaw was dead meat in his young mind, because Flutterstar looked like she was going to shread her. To the apprentices credit she didn`t seem fazed at all. Forgottenkit felt weak, he should be like that. He wanted to show that he could be brave to. For some reason his tail felt weird, and he tried to pull his eyes away from the scene of the two older cats to see why. Stainedkit was looking playfully at him, and was batting his tail. At first he blinked not grasping the fact that one of the other kittens wanted to play with him. Then he shook his pelt, and smiled at her before bringing his tail up to try and flick her head back playfully. This was something he could learn to like, perhaps there were friends here for him afterall.
