x. her paws ached, and her body was convulsing in pain from pushing herself to hard. she could feel the rank breath of the fox pulsing behind her. her heart was bursting from it's seams, and her lungs screeched for relaxation. but she kept pushing. if she had been alone, she would have let herself die, never once running. but the small movements in her gut told her to keep herself alive. so she did. she clenched her teeth, baring those ivory inscisors. her claws dug deep into the peaty soil, trying to increase her speed.
x. her breath became ragged, a small rippling of pain running up and down her spine, and shooting across her gut. she screeched into the air, shoving herself faster. the fox snapped it's jaws in hunger, it's saliva flying out everywhere, splattering her back paws. she kept going. it ran faster, poised to kill. her legs and paws began to sink into the mud and grim of shadowclan territory, the marsh wanting her death. her mind flickered to that night some time ago, her and auburnsky sitting under the warm, and welcoming stars. tonight the sky was dark, and lightning struck the sky like a slap on the face.
x. starclan wants you dead, my babes. i wont let them have you. she screeched once more with effort. finally, she saw it. a huge oak. and an opening barely big enough for her to squeeze into. she used the very last of her strength to get to the opening, and threw herself into it, gashing her side open as she did. she cried out in agony, slamming onto her side and belly. she felt the babies in her jerk with surprise and agony, and begin to thrash her insides to peices.
x. her eyes were huge, and pitch black with pain. she stared as the fox shoved it's muzzle into the den, snapping, growling, and barking at her. it's saliva flew from it's jaws, and it clawed to get a bigger opening. soon it stopped, but she heard it pacing outside, waiting for her to come out. she sighed with releif, but collapsed, her inside's feeling as if they were being torn apart. she shreiked in agony, her sides convulsing, causing blood to pump from the gash in her side.
x. she began to pant heavily, her eyes wide open with agony. she wanted them out. she laid there, gasping, moaning, screeching everytime the convulsions kicked in. she was in there so long, the night sky turned milky red with dawn. she had been chased by the fox at first dark, and it was taking a whole night to birth. her breathing was shallow now, and her wound still slowly pumping blood. with another push, she felt something slide out of her. she weakly lifted her head, using her back leg to pull the kit close to her muzzle. a large fluffy white tom. and he was beautiful. she tried to clean him, but the pain was to much, making her fall into a limp form again. the kit weakly nuzzled her bloody gut.
x. she laid there, until the kit's fur had turned spiked with dried blood. his nuzzling had stopped, but he laid next to her, breathing heavily. she had to save them. her vision was blurry, and her hearing had faded. all her senses but sight focused in on the heart-beat of her babes still in her, and this tom by her. slowly, her eyes fixed in on the mud infront of her, everything in the den decaying, and reaking. but there, in the middle of the mud and ugliness, grew a single white flower. she blinked. a flower.

chase your dreams away,
glass needles in the hay,
the sun forgives the clouds,
you are my holy shroud,
Oh no no...
