Adderstar lay in her nest in her den, curled up in a tight ball with her eyes half closed. It looked as though she was enjoying a nap in the cool shade of her den while outside it was rather muggy. This was partly true, she was enjoying the coolness of her den, but the leader was not napping. Adderstar was thinking about the problems facing WindClan. The Greenleaf was promising to be a hot one, and there were precious little rivers or even creeks on the moors. The other problem was obvious at clan gatherings. WindClan had precious few warriors and apprentices, especially when compared to the other clans. No she-cats were kitting, no one had mates. If there were no mates and no kits, there would be no WindClan.
The den still smelt of Darksun and it was rather distracting for Adderstar. The only thing that smelt of her at the moment was her bedding, which frankly could use a changing. The current dilemma facing Adderstar made her think of her warriors, trying to see if she could take one as her mate. None of them appealed to the small calico, though she could see all of them would make strong, healthy kits. There was a sound outside the den and Adderstar shifted her head a little. "Come in," she mewed, staying in the same position as before, curled in her nest with her eyes half closed.

[/size][/color] "i love him dearly && my soul was sealed with those eyes" [/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote] His mainecoon figure was a bit large for the smallness of the leader's den, but big enough to let him through. Hello Adderstar. He chuckled at sat down at the far end of the enclosed area. Auburnsky had just got word from Redpaw about something; and it was important for the leader to know. His mucles rippled through his body as he adjusted himself. He noticed that the bedding was growing to be unusable. The mossy flooring was starting to harden in a manner that would make it uncomfortable to sleep upon at night. I'll send an apprentice in here when I'm done. He pondered to himself, further feeling the ground with his paw.
Well. Back to busniess. Alright. Well erm- Auburnsky began to tell the story. Well you know Redpaw? The one who looks like he could be a warrior? And you know Mountainpaw? The really shy one? Well apparently they have had an affair beyond our knowledge and she is now expecting kits. He finished the awkardly, shuffling his paw around.

Adderstar waited with a little impatience as her warrior stuttered. She hadn't expected such a cursed answer to the problem of kits. It was in a way a blessing, but also a curse. The leader sat up in her nest, large yellow eyes wider than normal. Other than her widened eyes the tabby striped femme didn't show any anger or surprise. Her fur didn't bristle, she didn't growl, her pose was easy and slack. Her mind was working quickly, however. Should she punish Mountainpaw, or punish her? How should she handle this information at the next gathering?
"Where is Mountainpaw?" Adderstar asked, needing to talk to the cat. True, it was her decision as leader how to handle this, but she needed more information in order to make light of everything. "Please, bring her to me Aburnsky." Perhaps the apprentice was trying to hide herself from the rest of the clan due to her shy nature. As the fluffy warrior left Adderstar crouched down in her nest, licking a paw and drawing it over an ear. Being a leader was so complicated, why couldn't someone else deal with this?

xx. Please, bring her to me Auburnsky.
Alright. He nodded, then pranced out of the den. He first glanced around the camp, scanning for her black and gray banded coat. Nope. Auburnsky then proceeded to check in the apprentice's den, and soon his hope for finding Mountainpaw was dim. Suddenly he saw her. Mountainpaw. He called, her head perked and trotted toward him; obviously she wasn't thrilled about this whole idea. She reculently followed him into the leader's den.
Here she is. Auburnsky reported, then he began to wash his right paw, waiting for a response from Adderstar.

Adderstar glanced between her warrior and apprentice. She had a feeling that Mountainpaw would be much more comfortable if it were just the two of them. The smal she-cat's large yellow eyes rested on the large warrior as he washed a paw. "Thank you Aburnsky. You may leave now." The femme hoped she didn't offend her warrior, but this was a topic for the two she-cats to discuss. Not only that, but Adderstar didn't want him thinking she was going easy on Mountainpaw. After all, she was supposed to have one of the sharpest tongues in the clan.
Adertar waited until the tom had left before tunring to Mountainpaw. She was silent for a moment, giving Aburnsky time to get out of hearing range. Then the small cat sat up, tail curled over her paws. Her large yellow eyes were half closed, pupils large. It was impossible to tell if she was angry. "Tell me, Mounaipaw, how did this happen?" Adderstar's voice was calm, and maybe even a little kind. Far from her usual wicked tone.

To his surprise, he was bounced out of the den. Oh. Okay. erm. See you later, and thank you Adderstar. Auburnsky nodded, then linked out of the den, only a bit offended over the situation. I mean, that must have been very awkward for the apprentice. His muscled rippled as he climbed down into the clearing, then kinda of feeling alone. He then could hear some of the muffed words of the leader addressing the apprentice about the situation. Although Auburnsky already had an idea about what went down. Redpaw was known to get under she-cat's skins like that. He could have easily over-powered the small and fragile she-cat with genetic strength.

The deadness that clouded the air made her seem like she was afraid, which infact, was the case. "Hehe, nothing happened. Nothing!"Insanity oozed into her brain, blocking out anything that had been sane previously - or anything to say the least. She could feel herself dying away, molecule at a time, as she went crazy, and as black spots covered her vision, but they went away gradually.

Adderstar narrowed her yellow eyes, staring calmly at the apprentice. She seemed to be denying anything, which was no good. Of course the leader couldn't force Mountainpaw to answer if she didn't want to, but it would be very helpful. So instead the small cat changed her questions. "Okay, then tell me what I should do about this. As you might have noticed, WindClan has very few kits, and our apprentices are nearly ready to become warriors. We need these kits, and I'd be very glad if we kept these kits." This was true, all of it. If need be, Adderstar could lie about the mother of the kits. As long as WindClan grew, nothing was a problem. "So tell me, Mountainpaw, what should I do?" This was a calm question, it wasn't meant to be intimidating, and was almost a statement. Obviously the apprentice was nervous, the she-cat was trying to calm her down.

THIS IS IVY TYPING.
Redpaw slipped into the den, eyes cold. His muscles rippled vigorously under his skin. I hope you don't mind, He stated, smirking. but I'd like an input. He sat calmly next to Mountainpaw, brushing up against her a bit. He peered deeply into Adderstar's gaze, and surprisingly she didn't seem to moved by this whole situation. He had imaged her as a crazy old she-cat freaking out on two young lovers. Well, he loved Mountainpaw; in his own sick way. He just didn't know how she felt about him. Probably very poorly.

The small leader turned her head the slightest bit to rest her yellow gaze on the tom. Was this the father? He must be, and it wasn't all too surprising. Hopefully some of the kits might inherit his dominance, though also some good judgment. Adderstar still crouched in her nest, calm and collected. She nodded at Redpaw, indicating that he could speak. She was interested in what he had to say. What was the meaning of all this?
