A young tortoiseshell she-cat made her way over to a huge tree. From a distance it looks just like any other ordinary tree. But up close, it is hollow inside. Poppypaw always loved to come here, whether to train or just hang around. She loved to explore the inside of the tree and even outside. As the tortoiseshell cat drew near, she crouched down then leapt into the air, landing on a low branch. From this branch there was an opening to the inside of the tree at the trunk, wel one of the entrances anyway. Another thing she liked, so many places to enter and leave and she wanted to find them all and see where they lead.
She wriggled her way inside of the tree and looked around. It was actually pretty lit up due to all of the holes where the sunlight peers through. There were also branches sticking inside, making good jumping platforms. She gaze around and spotted a hole, just big enough for a cat her size to fit in, about half-way up the tree. Making her way to the edge of the branch, she jumped to another one across from where she was. She then hurriedly, but carefully made her way up to the hole.
One thing Poppypaw was good at, is climbing up trees. As a kit, she would get stuck in trees, but now after some moons of climbing, she is very good at it. When she finally reached her destination, she made her way through and came out on a thick branch. she leaned over and stared below her. "Wow!" She gasped, staring at the view around her. "It's so high up here!"
Suddenly a butterfly fluttered in front of her. She swat at it with both of her paws. But she made a huge mistake. With lifting both of her paws she lost her balance and fell off of the branch. Letting out a loud yowl, she tried to grab onto another limb, but only scraped her claws against. But she landed with a loud thud on the branch below. Panting, her amber eyes shut tight, she tried to calm herself. Tha-that was close
Then the limb started to crack. Flinging her eyes open, Poppypaw made a quick decision and flung herself off of the branch. Only to land in a bush just a few feet below. Grunting, she broke free from the bush and laid next to it. Her eyes showed fear for only a second and were replaced by excitement. "That was fun!" She stared up at the tree, wanting to go back up there to see the wonderful view once more. But she then felt lonely and wished someone were here to share in her adventure.
